Founded in 1941 in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture, NANGA is a down product manufacturer dedicated to domestic production. Known for its safe and high-quality down and proprietary sewing techniques, the brand is recognized as a leading name in winter down outerwear in Japan.







High-Performance Original Nylon Material
To address the weakness of down when exposed to water, NANGA uses "AURORA-TEX," a highly waterproof yet breathable material. This fabric features a microporous polyurethane waterproof coating, delivering excellent breathability, insulation, and water repellency.

Durable Ripstop Fabric
By crafting the high-performance nylon into a ripstop structure, the material achieves significantly improved tear strength compared to regular nylon. This durable fabric is ideal for active lifestyles.





Insulation Perfectly Suited for Japanese Winters
The down filling is sourced from Spanish white duck down. The quality and performance of down are heavily influenced by the breed of the waterfowl and the environment in which they are raised.

Ducks raised in Spain's expansive environment and modern facilities produce feathers that are soft, supple, and highly insulating. This provides warmth suited for Japan's winter climate without being overly insulated.

Why Use the Non-Pack Manufacturing Method?
To achieve a lightweight and minimalist design, NANGA adopts a "non-pack method," directly inserting down and feathers between the outer and inner fabrics without using additional packing material. This method results in lighter and more streamlined designs.

Note that some down and feathers may adhere to the fabric or protrude through the stitching, but this is a characteristic of the manufacturing process and does not indicate a defect.





The neck features a stand collar design, providing excellent insulation around the neck.



The front zipper is equipped with a water-resistant zipper to enhance waterproofing and block out cold air.



The adjustable hem drawcord further prevents cold air from entering.



Pockets include handwarmer pockets on both sides and a chest pocket. The pocket interiors are designed to warm your hands on chilly days.





Streamlined Silhouette Without Bulk
The silhouette is clean and moderately roomy. The hip-length design ensures warmth around the waist, a vulnerable area in colder weather. The armholes are generously sized to accommodate thick sweatshirts or inner layers comfortably.
